Let me tell you a bit about me.
I am a writer: author, playwright & director. and I have done some acting. Since moving to Canada from the Caribbean (St Vincent) I have abeen active on the theatre & music scene.
I host and produce a radio show the Jazz Zone on campus/ community radio CKLN 88.1FM. every Friday from 7am - 11am and every Monday I produce and Co-Host Stageleft, a theatre & dance radio magazine, on same radio station.
I have done the jazz show for over 10 years and Stageleft just over 7.
I recently directed a play, Cage Without A Key for the Fringe Festival. I have written and directed for the Fringe Festival and The Alumnae Theatre's New Ideas festival.
I was Writer in Resident for the now defunct St Chad's Theatre, Wrote and produced Just For A Moment for the theatre company.
My short play; Blues For My Grandfather, a monologue was published by the Playwright's Union Of Canada in an anthology entitled: Beyond The Pale..
I published my first novel in 2003 "Dock Of The Bay: and directed my play Back Home in the same year.
I have worked in film with students of Ryerson University and directed a short film, The Pick Up in 1999, It was screened at the Bloor Cinema in Toronto
I have written articles for a few publication, Word Magazine, Diversity, The Connection Magazine, and recently Coda jazz Magazine. My articles were on Jazz Theatre & some film.
I also work in the Jazz department in Toronto's biggest record store. I am the Jazz & Blues buyer.
